Giving back…and helping women grow professionally

When working hard and living at 80mph, it’s easy to forget how good it feels to give to others. Today I’d like to highlight an organization that is giving back in a way that is helping women to become professionals, with all that it entails.

Dress for Success is a group on a mission: to help women achieve economic independence, and they do this by focusing on three areas: 1) providing professional attire, 2) a support network, and 3) career development information. I first heard about Dress for Success at a reception in New York City and thought it was a terrific idea. As soon as I get settled in my new location (in the next 3 months–hopefully), I am planning to sign up to help them fulfill their mission.
